The woods are usually numbered from 1 to 7, according to the inclination of their faces and the ranges of their strokes.

5-wood

Wood whose range is between 200 and 220 yd; the inclination angle of its face is about 18°.

3-wood

Wood whose range is between 210 and 240 yd; the inclination angle of its face is about 15°.

driver

Wood with a very long range that is the longest of the golf clubs; it is used especially for tee-off strokes (over 230 yd). The inclination angle of its face is about 10°.
